Compliance & Risk
Compliance is not a brake — it makes the placement last. This group covers what we screen, why, and what you can prepare yourself.

Do placements go through a compliance review before publication?+
Yes. Copy from regulated sectors such as finance, healthcare and health products, franchise investment, education and training is reviewed for baseline compliance before publication, focusing on four risk types: absolute claims, efficacy or return promises, disparaging comparisons and qualification claims. Where a section does not pass review we propose rewrites, which also protects your brand from being affected by a single article.

How does advertising law affect publication overseas?+
The Advertising Law and the Anti-Unfair Competition Law of China place explicit limits on absolute claims, false advertising and disparaging competitors, and overseas media publication is subject to the same constraints: if a piece is complained about in China it can damage both brand reputation and media relationships. When writing we avoid absolute claims such as "best", "No.1", "top-tier" or "100%", and use verifiable qualified statements instead, for example "serving more than 300 brands".

Can you handle overseas placements for sectors like finance, healthcare and gaming?+
Yes, with extra care. Finance and healthcare content is strictly regulated across many countries, and outlets themselves may decline such copy, so those outlets have to be filtered out during the matching stage; gaming requires avoiding violence, gambling and inducement. We suggest running a small test placement in these sectors first to check outlet acceptance before scaling up.

Can I write exaggerated marketing lines into the press release?+
We do not recommend it, and mainstream outlets usually have their own editorial standards and will ask for cuts. Short-term exposure from exaggerated wording usually carries the risk of long-term damage to brand credibility, and it can also create exposure under advertising law rules. What we do instead is convert the selling points you want to convey into verifiable facts: data, comparisons and concrete use cases in place of adjectives.

Is there a problem if my article mentions competitors?+
There is a risk. Most outlets do not accept disparaging comparisons, and the industry convention is to avoid naming competitors critically. What you can do is describe your own capabilities and the scenarios where they apply, without directly negating others. That lowers the chance of being asked to revise the copy and avoids industry disputes. If a comparison is genuinely necessary, use publicly verifiable objective data rather than subjective opinion.

Will the information I submit leak to outlets?+
Submitted information is used only for writing and placing this article, is not used for anything else, and is not sold or shared. Where unpublished product information is involved, such as unreleased pricing or internal data, mark it clearly in the materials as "for this placement only, to be removed before publication", and we will apply redaction before sending anything to an outlet.
What does the scope of the publication licence mean?+
It defines the permissions for publishing and using that article on the outlet side: whether image rights are included, whether video rights are included, whether secondary repost and quotation are licensed, and whether each language version is licensed separately. Each package page lists these item by item, so you can tell which materials you may reuse yourself afterwards and which need an additional licence.
